Uganda reported a single Marburg virus disease case (a child, fatal) to WHO on 30 June 2026, amid the ongoing Ebola Bundibugyo cross-border spillover from DRC. A source close to the investigation told STAT News that Uganda had actually detected two cases; Uganda has not officially confirmed or denied this.
