PAHO Situation Report No. 6, Measles in the Americas Region (2 July 2026). Guatemala reported 7,067 laboratory-confirmed measles cases and 22 deaths through epidemiological week 25 of 2026, the highest measles death toll in the region, with transmission across all 22 departments. A further 16,350 cases with clinical criteria or epidemiological linkage are excluded from the confirmed count: under Health Ministry Protocol V3 (16 March 2026) these are no longer laboratory-sampled.
