PAHO Situation Report No. 6, Measles in the Americas Region (2 July 2026). Peru reported 737 confirmed measles cases and no deaths through epidemiological week 25 of 2026. PAHO estimates Peru's effective reproduction number at 1.35 (95% CrI 1.23-1.47), an increasing trend and the only measles outbreak in the region still modelled as accelerating, with transmission concentrated in Puno. The four-week forecast for weeks 26-29 projects a median of about 919 cases.
